Pick up a new instrument! In this 4 part hands on interactive course you will learn the basics of playing a guitar.

In Lesson 1 you will learn about the parts of the guitar, proper playing position, how to distinguish between higher and lower tones, how to tune a guitar, the notes on the first string, how to read pitch and rhythm and some simple chords.

Lesson 2 takes your learning a bit further. You will learn about the Clef, time signature, longer notes, rhythm and note reading exercises on the first string, second string and third string. You will also learn your first guitar solo. 

Lesson 3 continues your understanding of the guitar with a guitar solo, reading notes and rhythms on the fourth string, pickup notes and dotted rhythms, dynamics and a duet. 

Finally, Lesson 4 brings it all toghether with 3/4 and 2/4 Time Signatures, Fermata, Introducing the D7 Chord, a Solo "12-Bar Blues-Rock", Ties, and finally another solo. "When the Saints Go Marching In".

This course is designed for high speed DSL and Cable customers. Low speed or dial up customers can try and take this course, but download times will be longer and some of the interactivity may not function properly on a low speed dial up connection.
